How Much Does A Septic Tank Cost?

How Much Does A Septic Tank Cost? Typical Range: $3,109 to $9,677 National Average: $6,361Living in a rural area has its perks, but it also comes wi th some challenges that need a little extra consideration, like how to handle waste treatment. Rural and some suburban homes are generally not connected to municipal sewer lines that are used in more densely populated areas. It can be an expensive venture to pay for sewer pipes to extend to a new construction site, so septic tanks become a cost-effective alternative.

Durrell Artaze Babbs—singer, songwriter, record producer, and guy who lives up to his stage name—“Tank” may be one of the lightest eaters we’ve interviewed. The man crushes two-a-day workouts and still manages to keep his meals to the minimum: three dishes, all consumed before the sun goes down.

“The philosophy behind my diet is: you are what you eat,” Tank explained in an episode of Men’s Health’s Eat Like.“What you put into your body is going to create your body’s output. What I put into my body, I want to make sure that it’s helping me be all I can be physically as well as be all I can be mentally.”

Tank is up at 6:30 AM every day with a Celcius energy drink. Then it’s time to layer up—top and bottom compression suit, top and bottom sweatsuit, and then a winter coat—“like I’m going Denver, Colorado.” Then he’s off on the treadmill. High incline. Forty-five minutes of fat burning.

When Tank’s done with the running, he’s back in the kitchen with“super food cakes”: spinach, kale, onions, carrots, etc., all baked into bit-sized muffins. He’ll have a few after a brutal run. Then it’s time for more cardio before he hits the weights. All this before noon—sometimes with a supplement shake mixed in.

Surely, Tank is starving by now. Nope.“I’m not a heavy eater,” he explained.“I don’t eat a lot. Which is kind of how I stay lean. I don’t do it on purpose. I just don’t have a large appetite.” But Tank does love salads. And so lunch might include a Chinese chicken salad from Whole Foods and a little cheat meal that: a coconut cookie, because Tank is mortal.

Required Eating: 6 Meals Not to Miss in Asheville

Required Eating: 6 Meals Not to Miss in Asheville Come to Asheville for the Cantonese dumplings? You bet. This North Carolina city is a multicultural dining destination you’ll want to plan a trip around. It’s still pandemic—the time of takeout, if you’re lucky enough to be within range of a culinary scene—and I’m sliding down the Blue Ridge Parkway with a massive Country Ham Biscuit breakfast sandwich riding shotgun. My companion is a “not for city slickers” favorite from Biscuit Head, a Southern home-cooking spot that’s earned shout-outs in Bon Appetit and Food and Wine, though it’s free of pretense, focused more on supporting local vendors and minimizing its carbon footprint.

The dinner bell rings at six or seven—“that’s it, no more food for the rest of the night, no matter how late I stay up”—usually with one staple item, like a small chicken pot pie. Protein-heavy, veggie-heavy, and enough calories to jump start the next morning’s workout. And then it’s water for the rest of the night.

“A lot of people can’t eat this light, especially doing two-a-days, cardio and lifting,” Tank admitted.“I can for some odd reason.” But Tank is able to maintain this discipline, because every once in a little while … Tank cheats. And Tank doesn’t just cheat with some little coconut cookie. No, no. You’re gonna want to hear Tank break it down.
