The Costco bakery section is full of decadent treats that are usually in large quantities. Recently we've seen several items return and a few new ones make their debut, too. One of those weighs almost 3 pounds and is currently on sale—the Costco bakery Caramel Tres Leche Bar is now $12.99. (Related: 108 Most Popular Sodas Ranked by How Toxic They Are.)

As its name suggests, Costco Instagram account @costcodeals spotted the bar recently and alerted their followers. The instant savings of $2 is only short-lived—it's only available until May 16. But according to My Fitness Pal, the entire cake has 3,554 calories, 542 carbs, 125 grams of fat, and 434 grams of sugar (!).

The cake made its debut in the bakery section last summer, when another Instagram account, @costcobuys found it. Fans were obsessed even back then. "My brother bought one yesterday and it is a piece of heaven sent goodness," one commenter said. "Well done Costco. Cheers to the one who decided to add it to the bakery."

People are equally as excited this time around (one even said it's the best Costco bakery creation since carrot cake and sheet cake), but a few point out that it is too sweet.

Tres Leche cake is a Mexican dessert staple made by soaking a sponge cake in three types of milk—evaporated, condensed, and heavy cream. It also usually is topped or has layers of whipped cream. Costco's version is then covered in caramel.

However, taking a look at the long list of ingredients on the front of the box tells you everything you need to know. While it is on sale, the cake is full of sugars, oils, and other additional ingredients.

If you're itching to try the Costco Caramel Tres Leche Bar or buy it again, it's best to share it, as some shoppers said they did for Mother's Day gatherings. Cutting the cake into 12 equal pieces means the slices have less than 300 calories, but they will still have 45 carbs, over 10 grams of fat, and 36 grams of sugar—which is almost the same as drinking a can of Coca-Cola. Here's what all that sugar will do to your body.
