If You See This Compartment on an Oven, This Is What It Is

If You See This Compartment on an Oven, This Is What It Is What is a steam oven? It's a regular oven with a small compartment that you fill with water to create steam. The post What Is a Steam Oven—and Do I Need One? appeared first on Taste of Home.

How many wings could you eat in one go? Six, maybe 10 at a push? On his YouTube channel, Strongman Rob Kearney shared an eating challenge wherein he tackles 30 boneless chicken wings with ranch sauce – that's more than 5 pounds of food, totaling upwards of 10,500 calories. A mammoth undertaking, you'll agree, even for a former American log lift record holder.

His energy-dense challenge is particularly well-timed. Next week, Kearney will face off against nine other competitors at the 2021 Rogue Invitational, which features the biggest single-competition prize purse in strongman history. So, presumably, he needs all the calories he can get right now.

The One Major Effect of Eating McDonald’s

The One Major Effect of Eating McDonald’s A registered dietitian lends a refreshing perspective on fast food and how McDonald's specifically offers a few nutritious options. For some people, McDonald's (or a similar establishment), is the closest place to their home where they can go and get a hot meal. In 2009, the USDA estimated that some 23.5 million Americans lived in a food desert, which is described as a low-income area that's more than one mile away from a supermarket or large grocery store. For rural areas, the cutoff is 10 miles.

In the last eating challenge Kearney posted to YouTube, the athlete demolished an 8,000-calorie sundae that included 15 scoops of ice cream and six different sugar-loaded toppings. Unfortunately – spoiler alert! – he doesn't quite make it the entire distance this time.

"I feel terrible," Kearney says, as the challenge grinds to a halt. Lifting the trays to show the camera, he remarks: "not great. Much, much more difficult than I thought it was going to be. I thought finishing was going to be questionable, but that I'd definitely get further than this."

Better luck next time, Kearney – you mightn't have made it to the end, but fingers crossed those extra few thousand calories set you up for a spot on the podium next week.

Chick-fil-A Is in a Nasty Legal Fight With This U.S. Airport .
Should Chick-fil-A be allowed here, even though the chain is considered to be not all-inclusive? This week a high court "grappled" to decide.Friday, Texas public radio station TPR.org reported that in early 2019, San Antonio's city council voted to ban Chick-Fil-A from an airport contract because of the fast-food brand's history of supporting anti-LGBTQ organizations.
