It can often seem like a new wellness trend emerges every other week.

But while there are all sorts of fads circulating on social media, leading nutritionist Matt Jones has rounded up the four ways that we can really make a difference to our general health. Read on for details.

Try turmeric

Though turmeric has been used in Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, the golden spice has had an increase in popularity in recent years, and is now included in everything from juices to lattes and health supplements.

"Pain, osteoarthritis, inflammation, recovery from intense exercise, mental health and more are known to benefit from regular turmeric consumption," he explained. "We are now also learning how to optimise the absorption and bioavailability of turmeric and its bioactive compounds, such as curcumin. The future is most certainly bright for this golden spice."
