I Did a Virtual Dating Event While Quarantining. This Is What It Was Like.

I Did a Virtual Dating Event While Quarantining. This Is What It Was Like. As we all go into self-quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, virtual dating events can help us stay socially connected. Here's what they're like.If you'd told me just a week ago that I would be telling my yoga instructor, via Zoom, that I had to "run off" from our online class because I was late to a virtual dating event, I would have said you'd seen too many dystopian movies. But that's where we are. New York City—where I live—isn't sheltering in place just yet, but large gatherings have been canceled, shops and restaurants have shuttered, and we've all been urged to maintain social distance and stay home for the foreseeable future.

Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban had a somewhat turbulent relationship during their time together at Alabama. That always makes for good quotes when Kiffin is asked to reminisce about it.

The Ole Miss coach had another good line Wednesday when asked by FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd about the fun times working under Saban.

“Yeah, like 14 times a year, 14 days a year when we had way better players than everyone we lined up against. That was fun,” Kiffin said, via Adam Spencer of Saturday Down South. “That’s not a shot on Coach Saban. He’d say the same thing. I’ve seen someone ask him, ‘Fun? What’s that?’ Fun is holding up a trophy, handing it to the next person and saying, ‘Alright, let’s go win another one.'”

Should I Pay For Day Care If My Child Is Home During the Coronavirus? And Other Childcare Questions

Should I Pay For Day Care If My Child Is Home During the Coronavirus? And Other Childcare Questions Life in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic comes with an almost overwhelming number of questions and changes. Schools are closed, parents are working from home, and regular daily schedules no longer exist. © Getty / Catherine Falls Commercial Should I Pay For Day Care If My Child Is Home During the Coronavirus? And Other Childcare Questions My family is lucky that I was already the main caregiver, aside from our part-time nanny, who watched one of my children a couple mornings each week.

That sounds about right. Saban’s standards are exacting and he’s all about winning. It’s enough to remind you of another famous quote Kiffin offered up about working at Alabama.

Kiffin and Saban will have the chance to go head-to-head now that Kiffin is coaching at Ole Miss. That should be fun.
