  World Oral Health Day 2018: how parents can help children start good oral hygiene habits Results of a new international survey released Tuesday, March 20 on World Oral Health Day has revealed improvements parents can make in helping children establish a good dental care routine, starting with earlier dental checkups before a child's first birthday. Carried out by the FDI World Dental Federation, the survey questioned 4,056 parents with children aged 18 and under in the UK, Australia, Egypt, Philippines, France, USA, Morocco, Sweden, China, and Argentina.Parents were asked how they cared for their children's teeth, and the responses were used to help suggest how dental care could be improved.

"It is an empowering, affirming, and positive tool, comprised of six dimensions: physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, personal, and professional.     A federal ban passed in 2016 is now in effect, banning smoking in public housing units around the country.The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) now prohibits the use of cigarettes, cigars and pipes in all public housing units and common areas, as well as any outdoor areas up to 25 feet from public housing and administrative office buildings. The ban does not apply to e-cigarettes, snuff and chewing tobacco, although there may be restrictions on those in some areas.
