The front row at Valentino’s couture show was packed with fashion elite, including Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Céline Dion, and Heidi Klum, but it was one model on the runway who stole the show. The legendary Lauren Hutton walked the runway during Wednesday’s show, wearing a green dress, orange boots, and bright red gloves.

The 75-year-old model has maintained an admirable longevity in an industry where ageism runs rampant. In 2017, Hutton starred in an underwear campaign for Calvin Klein, shot by director Sofia Coppola, during the brand’s Raf Simons era. The previous year, she walked in Bottega Veneta’s anniversary show, closing the show arm-in-arm with current It Girl Gigi Hadid.

Paris planning flying taxis by 2024

Paris planning flying taxis by 2024 Visitors to Paris may soon be able to arrive in the city center in style, traveling by flying taxi. Aircraft manufacturer Airbus is working with French transport operator RATP Group to explore the feasibility of "vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) vehicles" to operate in the French capital, hoping to bring the air taxis to Paris in time for the 2024 Olympic Games.

“What an incredible honor it was to walk the LEGENDARY icon Lauren Hutton down the runway at @bottegaveneta today. & what a beautiful spirit she is!” Hadid wrote on Instagram at the time. “Thank you so much @kegrand, @bitton, Tomas, and of course LH for a moment I will never ever forget!!!!”

Prior to her recent comeback, Hutton also modeled alongside Beyoncé during a Tom Ford show in 2010.

Hutton’s status as fashion royalty began back in the 1960s when she moved to New York to start her modeling career. In 1973 she signed a historic contract with Revlon for $1 million, only to be let go by the company a decade later at the age of 40 after she was considered too old.

“...At that time, everybody thought that someone who was 46 or 47 was a very old bag,” she told Interview in 2013. “In fact, the guys at Revlon told me that they were firing me because they had done focus groups and nobody over 40 wore makeup. These guys were all in their 60s and they came from another world and another era. They were running a women’s cosmetic company and they didn’t know anything about women, of course.”

It’s been almost 40 years since then and fashion is slowly coming around to the idea that women of a certain age can still sell clothes (and makeup), and no one has proven that better than Lauren Hutton.

Spotting a random animal on a runway is one thing, but wildlife wandering through airport security is quite another. © Getty ImagesAt Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, a mule was spotted in the departure section of Terminal 1 on Wednesday, the Times of Israel reported. And yes, we mean mule as in the farm animal. Airports and surrounding wildlife can have an unpredictable relationship at times. All over the world, animals like alligators, seals, turtles, and especially birds are often spotted wandering onto runways and holding up traffic.
