Ready to have some fun? Well, of course you are.

One of the most important criteria travelers have when choosing their destinations, besides food and accommodations of course, is whether the place they’re going to will be fun. No one ever set out on a vacation to have a dull time.

So, in order to help travelers find the most fun-packed places to go, WalletHub has crunched some numbers to determine the most fun cities in the United States.

In order to calculate the most fun cities in the U.S., WalletHub compared 182 cities across three key dimensions: entertainment, nightlife and costs. Each category had its own subcategories in which each city gathered “points” for their fun quotient. Some subcategories include restaurants per capita, beer gardens per capita, time of last call, music venues per capita, and average costs of party tickets, drinks and food, among others.

These popular U . S . cities are known for their unique attractions, dynamic nightlife scenes, cosmopolitan natures, and attractive shopping destinations.

This category also includes weather and the city ' s ranking as a destination on TripAdvisor. The nightlife and parties category includes the number of bars, casinos, music venues, dancing and comedy clubs, lounges, and pool halls. Based on WalletHub' s ranking, these are the most fun U . S . cities .

And the result? A nice, long list of amazing cities to go to. At the top of the list is Las Vegas, Nevada. This comes as no surprise since the city is practically run on entertainment.

Vegas is followed by Orlando (big points for having Disney World in your city, apparently), New York City, Atlanta and Miami, respectively.

However, these ranks are based on the total overall score for each city. Some places actually scored higher than others in particular categories while still being placed lower on the overall results.

Las Vegas ranked number one in the nightlife and parties category (naturally), while New York City ranked first in entertainment and recreation. Springfield, Missouri ranked number one in terms of cost but ranked number 65 on the overall list.

This City Has the Worst Vacation Policy in the World

This City Has the Worst Vacation Policy in the World No matter how much you may love your job, there’s nothing like the feeling of embarking on a well-needed vacation and forgetting all of your responsibilities. And it’s your company’s vacation policy that determines how often you can experience that. But average vacation policies vary quite a bit by country, with some nations offering considerably more vacation time, on average, than others. The home rental company Spotahome recently conducted a study assessing the world’s healthiest cities.

This list tracks and ranks the population of the top 10 largest cities and other urban places in the United States by decade, as reported by each decennial United States Census, starting with the 1790 Census.

With so much to see in this vast country, it can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to planning a trip in the United States. World-class cities , some known for history and others known for fun or glamour, give visitors a broad spectrum of places to choose from.

And in some key subcategories, other cities not included in the top five in the U.S. also shine. Honolulu ranked number one as the city with the most festivals per capita, San Francisco topped the list for most dance clubs per capita, and Oklahoma City ranked first in the cheapest beer price.

No matter where you go, there’s always something for everyone to have a good time. Just make sure you’re maximizing the fun you have wherever you go.

More information on the reports and to see where your city ranked can be found on the WalletHub website.
