What every single House Democrat knows but has refused to say publicly was conveniently published in the New York Times on Wednesday morning.

Caroline Fredrickson, a lawyer who worked at the White House during Bill Clinton's impeachment, rightly observed in an op-ed that the Democrats' case against President Trump is exhausting in its obscurity.

Lonely Planet names Washington, D.C., the second-best city in the world to visit in 2020

Lonely Planet names Washington, D.C., the second-best city in the world to visit in 2020 Lonely Planet has compiled its annual ranking of 10 best countries, cities, regions and best-value destinations. What made the lists?Indeed, our nation's capital is No. 2 on the travel resource's ranking of top cities to visit in 2020, because, according to Lonely Planet, "the excitement of the year's presidential election" ties into the city's celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote. Washington will have new museum exhibits, new trees and a refreshed waterfront, all for your visiting pleasure.

"Today’s allegations," she wrote, "are all over the map and could amount to a lengthy list of articles of impeachment. Unfortunately for House Democrats, the complexity of this story does not help their cause."

Fredrickson goes on to note all of the "norms" Trump has transgressed, and she says he's been "credibly accused" of breaking numerous laws. Fredrickson is a Democrat, so what else is she going to say? Her main point certainly bears on the minds of House Democrats with the weight of a thousand Jerry Nadlers.

The truth about this freak show of an impeachment process is that even if you take the position that Trump did something deadly wrong in his dealings with Ukraine, the story and the details are so abstruse, so convoluted, that the average person would need 40mg of Adderall injected directly into their veins just to sit long enough for processing who all was involved and what the hell Ukraine has to do with any of it.

A very smart person on CNN recently said Democrats should have propped up a flow chart or timeline behind them during the televised hearings last month. Ah, yes! That's the ticket! A flow chart and a timeline! Nothing would stir the passions of the public more than a flowchart on an easel within view behind Adam Schiff's wild eyes.

Frederickson wrote in her op-ed for the Times that Democrats would have been in better shape had there been a more clearly understood violation involved in Trump's actions. Richard Nixon was caught about what he knew of the break-in of the Democratic National Committee headquarters (crime). Bill Clinton was caught lying about his extramarital affair with a young White House intern (crime).

Trump — well, he delayed military aid to Ukraine before having a phone call with the country's president, and in that call, Trump asked him about possibly investigating Joe Biden, and what he did as vice president in Ukraine and also Trump asked about investigating Ukraine's interference in the 2016 election. On top of that, he obstructed Congress, may have done something with payments to a porn actress, and don't ever, ever, ever forget about Russia. Which one is the crime?

Southwest's Spring Travel Sale Includes $39 One-way Tickets

Southwest's Spring Travel Sale Includes $39 One-way Tickets Southwest Airlines wants you to start planning your 2020 travels. Southwest is hosting yet another monster sale on airfare across the country for travel through spring 2020. However, if you want to take advantage of the sale you’ve got to hop on the bandwagon right now because the sale ends on Friday, Nov. 15.

Further complicating the case against Trump is that, unlike Nixon, who tried to hide the tapes that did him in, and unlike Clinton, whose DNA was enough to prove he was lying, Trump let everyone know from the beginning what he did with Ukraine. He released the transcript of the phone call with the country's president, and it had everything we needed. That was back in September, and yet, as of this moment, Democrats continue acting like there's a cover-up that needs investigating.

Impeachment isn't going the way Democrats had hoped. Support for it is eroding among independent voters in swing states. In Wisconsin, support for it among independents was at 44% in October, before the main witness hearings began. After those hearings, support fell by four points. Support for impeachment has been, at best, anemic, in every other swing state, according to the Washington Post.

Maybe Democrats should try the flowchart.
