CROCKETT, Texas (KETK) – A man was charged after being accused of having meth and stealing a trailer and excavator, said the Crockett Police Department. Dustin Heath McNutt, 29, of Crockett, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a weapon and theft of property >= $30,000 = $30,000

According to a criminal complaint, a woman reported that someone walked into her home while she was sleeping and then drove away in her car.

The complaint says that a witness followed the suspect, 42-year-old Joshua Gunnoe, in his own car, and Gunnoe stopped at the 23000 block of Spruce River Rd., got out of the stolen car, and asked the witness for a ride.

Police are looking for two suspects who they say stole thousands of dollars from an elderly woman while shopping earlier this month.According to police, the woman was shopping at Hobby Lobby when one of the suspects took her wallet from her purse while another distracted her.

The witness told deputies he drove Gunnoe back to the scene of the crime to wait for law enforcement.
