LaVar Ball wants an alternative for high school grads
LaVar Ball doesn’t want high school graduates to go to college. That is, if they don’t want to, of course. So, what’s his suggestion? Starting a league for said graduates. “Getting these players is going to be easy. This is giving guys a chance to get a jump start on their career, to be seen by pro scouts, and we’re going to pay them because someone has to pay these kids.” So, how much are they planning on paying these kids? Well, the lowest-ranked player will earn $3,000 per month while the best of the best could earn up to $10,000 per month.

Relatives told the Express-News that Vela and Espinosa's relationship was contentious and that she had recently kicked Espinosa out of the house, but allowed him back in for the holidays.
In the weeks leading up to the tragic slaying, friends had warned her of the danger that Espinosa posed to her.
"My wife warned her, just get him out of the house," said Theodore Martinez, 51, a family friend who described the last moments of Vela's relationship as tumultuous. "She (Vela) found a single shot revolver in his possession. ... She took it out of his truck and hid it out in the house."
Hours after her death, a GoFundMe account was set up by a family friend to help pay for Vela's funeral expenses and to provide for her three youngest children, who are now in the care of her eldest daughter.
