Man and missing teen are found in Mexico 01:20. (CNN) A 45-year-old man who disappeared with a 16-year-old Pennsylvania girl two weeks Allentown Police Chief William Reinik said Esterly signed Amy out of school multiple times and that their relationship had been "going on for at least a year."

"A student can be picked up only by someone on the emergency contact list that is provided by the parents," Mauser said.

She declined to comment on whether Esterly was on Yu's emergency contact list.

Mauser said when Yu's mother, Miu Luu, came to pick up her daughter from school on Feb. 9, she learned Esterly had already picked up the girl. Mauser said Luu was upset and said Esterly should not have picked her daughter up. According to Mauser, school officials encouraged Luu to call police.

Police said Luu did call them Feb. 9. Court records do not show whether police took any action that day.

Mauser said the school is cooperating with police. Esterly "has not stepped foot on school grounds" since Feb. 9 when "we were made aware he was not to pick up" the girl, she said.

On Feb. 15, Yu's mother again called police, who came to the Luu home, where they told Esterly and his wife, Stacey Esterly, that they had to stay away from the girl's home, according to court records. The documents do not explain why the couple were there.
