Police say the victims —five women and three men who all were passengers — were between 27 and 60 but didn't name them. Sixteen others were injured in Wednesday's crash. Police said Friday that the cause of the crash was still under investigation. The high-speed passenger train struck cargo that fell off a freight train coming from the opposition direction on a bridge that is part of the system linking the islands of Zealand and Funen.

George and Cindy Anthony, parents of former murder defendant Casey Anthony, are asking to postpone their foreclosure trial after George Anothony was seriously injured in a crash on I-4.

Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol said George Anthony drove a 1999 Toyota 4Runner off the right shoulder of I-4 in Daytona Beach in November.

Anthony was flown to Halifax Medical Center for treatment, according to an FHP report. The report said he suffered “incapacitating” injuries.

The Anthonys are facing foreclosure on their single-story house in Chickasaw Park.

The house is valued in 2017 Orange County property appraiser records at $139,481. U.S. Bank is the lender, according to filings with the Orange County clerk’s office.

The foreclosure began just before their daughter was tried, and later acquitted, in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

The foreclosure trial is scheduled to start on March 1.

The motion to strike the trial date claims that George’s accident precludes him from appearing and speaking at the trial.

The judge has not decided whether he will strike the trial date.

The Anthony's home is just around the corner from where their granddaughter's body was found in a wooded area.
