Florida woman gets life in prison for plotting with husband's best friend to kill him, blame an alligator A Florida woman was sentenced to life in prison without parole Wednesday, nearly two decades after she conspired with her lover to kill her husband — who was initially believed to have been eaten by alligators — and collected $1.75 million in life insurance benefits. Williams was convicted in December of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her 31-year-old husband, Mike Williams. The judge also sentenced Williams to an additional 30 years in prison for plotting to kill her husband with Brian Winchester, who was Mike’s best friend and her lover.

Francillon Pierre was last seen at a North Las Vegas swap meet in August 1986. His mother, then Amy Luster, and his stepfather, Lee Luster, said they lost track of the boy -- nicknamed Yo-Yo -- and asked police not to publicize the case because they said they didn't want the media to sensationalize it.

The couple was awaiting trial on child abuse charges when Pierre disappeared. The Lusters told police that Pierre's father, Jean Pierre, may have abducted the boy and taken him home to Haiti. However, authorities ruled out Jean Pierre as a suspect, and the boy was never found.

Police had said they suspected the Lusters in the case, but they did not have enough evidence to charge either of them. In the years since, the boy was officially considered a missing person and appeared in fliers and posters. Officials even produced an age-progressed portrait of Francillon Pierre in 2011.

A news conference on the case is planned for Monday afternoon by North Las Vegas police.

Fleming made her first court appearance on Feb. 1, 2019 at the PBCMDC where she waived extradition.
