Woman accused of throwing frozen pork chop at boyfriend, cutting his eyebrow A woman was arrested Friday in Pasco County, Florida after deputies say she threw a frozen pork chop at her boyfriend. Jennifer Brassard, 48, was charged with domestic battery. Investigators say the couple got into an argument that turned physical when Brassard chucked the piece of meat at his head around 9:45 p.m. at the home they share in Spring Hill. The pork chop left a cut on the man’s eyebrow. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in this case, according to an arrest report. Brassard was taken to jail but has since been released on bond.

A young woman who as a teenager encouraged her suicidal boyfriend to kill himself in dozens of text messages and told him to "get back in" a truck filled with toxic gas was sentenced Thursday to 15 months in jail for involuntary manslaughter.

Michelle Carter will appear in court Monday for a hearing to consider prosecutors' request.

Carter was convicted in 2017 of involuntary manslaughter for her role in the death of Conrad Roy III. The judge allowed Carter to remain free while she appeals in state court.

Massachusetts' highest court upheld her conviction last week.

Lawyers for the 22-year-old Carter have said they plan to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The judge found Carter caused Roy's death when she instructed him over the phone to get back in his truck that was filling with toxic gas.

Carter's lawyers say she isn't responsible for Roy's suicide.
