Winston-Salem Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex that sent three people to the hospital on Thursday evening.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Hutton Street just before 5:40 p.m. for a report of a shooting. They later found that three people were on the front porch area of one of the apartment units when the shooting happened. One of those people is 22-year-old Malik Raqhib from Winston-Salem and another victim is 20-year-old Akejah Linzae from Winston-Salem. It's unclear at this time who the third victim is.

Investigators say that two men were in a gray or silver vehicle, possibly a Kia, and fired shots at the victims while the vehicle drove down Hutton Street.

All three victims are expected to recover from their injuries.

Transgender woman Muhlaysia Booker, who was at the center of a viral video where she was beaten near an apartment complex, was found fatally shot in east Dallas early Saturday morning, police confirmed. Police responded to the shooting call in the 7200 block of Valley Glen Drive at around 6:40 a.m near the Tenison Park Golf Course. She was found dead from a gunshot wound. In a press conference on Sunday, police identified the woman as Booker. Police do not have any suspects at this time.
