Rideshare driver hospitalized after shot fired in car near Seattle Center A rideshare driver was taken to the hospital after he was shot while taking a passenger home Tuesday morning. SEATTLE — A rideshare driver was taken to the hospital after he was shot while taking a passenger home Tuesday morning.

The car was traveling at Mercer Street and Fourth Avenue near Seattle Center shortly after 3 a.m. when the shooting happened, according to Seattle Police.

There was a disturbance between the driver and the passenger, which led to a shot being fired. The driver was hit and taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The passenger was taken into custody. He has been cooperative, according to Seattle Police.
