LMPD identifies officer, serial robbery suspect involved in fatal confrontation No police footage is available of a shooting involving officers and a serial robbery suspect. The shooting happened around 10:24 a.m. in the area of Ruckriegel Parkway and Watterson Trail. Louisville Metro police said officers were making a traffic stop on a man believed to have been involved in several area business robberies. That man has been identified as Djuantez Anthony Mitchell, 30. When officers stopped Mitchell, he struck a Louisville Metro officer who was outside his vehicle, and then hit an unoccupied Jeffersontown police cruiser, police said. Then, officer Bryan Arnold fired multiple shots at Mitchell, police said.

Police said the officer gave multiple commands to Justin Tramell Scott, 22. When Scott reached for his firearm, police said the officer fired shots, striking Scott. After being shot , Scott fled and was apprehended a short distance later by another officer who responded to the scene.

An officer was involved in a shooting Wednesday morning in Jeffersontown, police said.

The shooting happened around 10:24 a.m. in the area of Ruckriegel Parkway and Watterson Trail, police said.

While few details about the shooting have been made available, dispatchers confirmed all officers are OK.

Louisville Metro police said they were called to assist in the investigation, but its unclear which agency the officer is with at this time.

Civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton will deliver the eulogy at the funeral of the woman shot and killed by a Baytown officer last week. The funeral will be held Thursday at Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 7034 Tierwester St. Visitation starts at 9 a.m., and the funeral starts at 11 a.m. Pamela Turner, 44, was shot outside an apartment complex in Baytown May 13 when Officer Juan Delacruz tried to arrest her for outstanding warrants. The shooting was captured on video by a witness and has since gained national attention.
