Illinois Sex Offender Registry Full Of Bogus Addresses

Illinois Sex Offender Registry Full Of Bogus Addresses Illinois puts the home addresses of more than 31,000 sex offenders on a website so residents can see who lives in their neighborhoods. CBS 2 found that many of those addresses are bogus. require(["medianetNativeAdOnArticle"], function (medianetNativeAdOnArticle) { medianetNativeAdOnArticle.getMedianetNativeAds(true); }); How could so many slip through the cracks? Cherokee County Sheriff Derrick Palmer said deputies got a tip in 2018 that Austin had moved near Andrews High School. Palmer said investigators also discovered evidence Austin was selling drugs and had possibly involved teenage girls.

District Attorney Ashley Welch said Austin never registered with Macon County when he moved there.

Palmer said Austin’s home was within 300 feet of Andrews High.

Austin was sentenced Tuesday to five to seven years in prison.
