Man shot and killed by Houston police identified A man shot and killed by Houston police officers Friday night after his alleged attempt to break into an apartment has been identified. Carlvon Mayo, 35, was killed at an apartment complex at 5901 Selinsky Road after police say he threatened them with a weapon. He was identified Sunday by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. He was confronted by two officers who opened fire after he refused to put down the weapon. He died on the balcony of the apartment, according to medical examiner officials.

A teenage boy was shot in his left foot on Sunday afternoon at Sun Village Park on the 900 block of Terrill Street in Chester, according to police . Authorities say the shooting happened near the basketball courts in the park . The 17-year-old victim was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said it is investigating a deadly shooting that happened at 3:45 a.m. Sunday on a basketball court at Julius Guinyard Park on Jefferson Street Police believe the woman was shot near the city park and made her way to a nearby apartment complex in search of help.

The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting at Victory Park involving a teenager.

The shooting was reported around 9:15 p.m. Monday at 22nd Street and Greenwood Avenue.

Police said a victim who appeared to be in his late teens was shot multiple times near a basketball court. He was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.

There are no suspects at this time.
