A second person has been arrested in the investigation into the shooting of former Red Sox star David Ortiz, according to ABC News.
The person is not suspected to be the person who shot Ortiz, and police are searching for a third person, ABC reported.
Ortiz was shot Sunday in the Dominican Republic and is now recovering from exploratory surgery in Boston, where he was flown Monday night.

Clase, 31, of Reading, Pa, is still being sought. NBC 10 reported that Clase was charged with conspiracy to commit homicide for a shooting in Reading in April 2018. His victim was shot in the lower back but survived.

Another suspect connected to the shooting faces multiple charges in the Dominican Republic, including attempted homicide.
Eddy Feliz Garcia, 25, is accused of being the driver of the motorcycle on which the shooter arrived. His lawyer, Bunel Ramirez Meran, said that there is no legal distinction between being the perpetrator of the crime or an accomplice to that crime in the Dominican Republic.
Garcia is also facing charges of attempted homicide and intentionally causing injury through use of an illegal firearm, according to official charging papers obtained by ABC News. He has been remanded into custody for a year while legal proceedings are underway.
Meran told reporters that Garcia did not shoot at Ortiz and that the defense has declared Garcia's innocence.

Ortiz's wife, Tiffany, said in a statement earlier Tuesday that Ortix is "stable, awake and resting comfortably" in the intensive care unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is expected to remain there several days.
Dominican doctors removed Ortiz's gallbladder and part of his intestine.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) The man authorities say shot former baseball star David Ortiz was charged Thursday with drug and firearm possession in New Jersey. Rolfi Ferreira-Cruz was indicted on cocaine and heroin possession charges and also a charge of conspiracy to distribute drugs, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Newark announced. Ferreira-Cruz, 25, who was arrested last week, is among at least 11 people that have been arrested in the shooting so far. Thursday's charges are unrelated to the shooting. Dominican authorities list his name as Rolfy Ferreyra. They say he has confessed to the shooting.
