Multiple Massage Envy therapists disciplined since 2018 related to alleged sexual assaults In the years after more than 180 women reported sexual assaults linked to the nation's largest massage chain, the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy has received roughly a dozen complaints involving Massage Envy locations, according to NCBMBT Administrative Director Elizabeth Kirk. "Eight complaints were alleging inappropriate sexual contact during a massage and bodywork therapy session," Kirk said. "Six therapists were disciplined and two are only pending because they are going to be reviewed by the Board at their June 2019 meeting.

Last week, Judge Chris Bragg ordered a new trial for Carver, citing ineffective counsel from his original defense attorney and DNA evidence that would be deemed inconclusive by current scientific standards.

Carver now awaits a new trial following a highly-publicized 2011 murder conviction.

"It's been hard, it's been rough," Carver said.

Hugs were exchanged between Carver, his family and his attorney Chris Mumma as he was released from jail. He's not technically a free man, he has an ankle monitor he has to wear as he awaits the new trial.

Carver said the first thing he's planning to do is see his family.

Ex-Gators captain Tony Joiner charged with murder.
A second member of the Florida Gators’ 2007 team has been charged with murder. Former UF safety and team captain Tony Joiner faces a second-degree murder charge from the 2016 death of his wife, Heyzel Obando, according to the Fort Myers News-Press. The paper reported that Joiner was previously arrested twice on complaints that he beat Obando. The 33-year-old Joiner was booked in the Polk County jail on Saturday, according to jail records. Joiner appeared in 47 games with 27 starts for UF from 2004-07.
