Marshall expels convicted student facing 2 more rape charges Marshall University in West Virginia has expelled a student who was allowed to remain enrolled despite a conviction for a 2016 attack where he was accused of raping a female schoolmate. The college's Wednesday announcement comes as 22-year-old Joseph Chase Hardin faces new sexual assault charges against two additional women. The university says Hardin violated school rules on sexual misconduct. He was indicted and jailed last week on second-degree sexual assault charges for two alleged rapes in 2018.

Four former La Vernia high school students have been indicted on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity. These charges are the result of an investigation into the sexual assault of multiple students.

The former students are accused of performing "hazing rituals," that started in 2014. So far, 10 victims have come forward, according to officials.

The arrests were made two years ago when the suspects were 18.

Dustin Norman, Alejandro Ibarra, Colton Weidner and Christian Roberts were indicted by a Wilson County grand jury.

They are facing a second-degree felony charge, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Office said Monday.

A Plymouth County grand jury returned indictments Tuesday charging 53-year-old David Hussey of Weymouth with four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14, the Patriot Ledger reported. Hussey was arrested on Jan. 23 by state police assigned to the Plymouth County district attorney’s office and held on $2,000 bail following his arraignment in Hingham District Court. His arraignment in Brockton Superior Court had not been scheduled as of Wednesday afternoon.
