Bay Area Men Arrested After Modesto Police Chase Ends With Deadly Crash Into Food Truck A high-speed police chase in Modesto came to a deadly end Saturday morning when a car carrying two Bay Area men crashed into a food truck in Modesto, killing two people. The chase ended at the corner of 14th and D streets in Modesto, not far from the Department of Motor Vehicles, just before 2 a.m., where people were eating at a food truck on the corner. The two victims, later identified as, Peter Gil, 31 and Melchor Leyva, 32, were struck by the suspect car before it crashed into a neighboring tire shop.

Police say Michael Ferazzi, 62, of Contoocook, NH, Albert Mazza, 49, of Lee NH, Daniel Pereira, 58, of Riverside, RI, Joanne and Edward Corr, 58, of Lakeville, MA, Desma Oakes, 42, of Concord, NH, and Aaron Perry, 45, of Farmington, NH died from a result of blunt force trauma in the crash.

Albert Mazza was a member of the southern Maine chapter of Jarheads MC, and president of the entire motorcycle club, according to northern chapter VP Kris Crawford.

Police investigate deadly crash on 169 Highway One person is dead after a single-car crash on 169 Highway, just south of Barry Road. The crash happened just before 4 a.m. Monday. Police said four men and one woman were in the car. A male passenger died and another man is in serious condition. The other passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the passengers all looked to be in their 20s. Police said a silver Ford Fusion had been traveling northbound when the driver apparently lost control. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck the end terminal of a metal barrier, causing it to overturn several times in the grassy median. The occupants of the vehicle were ejected.
