Revere, June 22: The Encore Casino one day before it opens , Saturday, June 22, 2019, in Revere. They’re accused of cheating together at a roulette table. Also, one person was charged with disorderly conduct, and one person was charged with trespassing.

State police said they arrested four people on opening day of the new Encore Boston Harbor resort and casino in Everett, including a pair who are accused of cheating the facility.

Two men from the Bronx borough of New York City were charged with cheating and conspiracy after they were observed cheating at a roulette table. State police said 27-year-old Jankelli S. Volquez and 66-year-old Hector Hernandez were acting in concert.

According to state police, another person was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and another was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

A fifth person was issued a summons on suspicion of possession of heroin, police said.

In addition to the arrests and summons, state police said they were assisting casino security officials with minor incidents, such as minors on the gaming floor -- most of whom were passing through with adults -- arguments, medical aid and crowd control.

State police also reported that traffic was mostly moderate throughout the day until around 7 p.m., when Route 99 saw an increase in congestion, but they said there were no significant delays.

A Parma father and son are facing charges after police say they were making and selling homemade fireworks. According to police, 36-year-old Charles P. Johnson, and 57-year-old Charles W.
