Teen homicide investigation underway in Albemarle, police looking for suspect Police are investigating a homicide after a teen was found dead in Albemarle early Saturday morning. Around 2:30 a.m. officers responded to 1500 block of Inger St. in Albemarle in reference to gunshots in the area. When police arrived to the location they found 17-year-old Joseph Desouza, lying on the floor bleeding from the abdomen area, unconscious with no pulse, officer said. Medic arrived to the scene shortly after and pronounced Desouza died from his injuries. © Provided by TEGNA Inc.During the investigation, police reported a witness noticed a gray or either gold/silver in color Honda Accord in the area and believed to be involved or responsible for the shooting.

The death has been ruled a homicide and no arrest has been made , said Chief of Detectives Robert Anzilotti of the Prosecutor's Office. The man said that 20 minutes later he saw three or four police cruisers arrive. He said he reached out to the Fairview Police Department and gave a statement.

Four people were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man in Fairview Saturday night, authorities said.

Fairview police said their investigation was active until Monday night when the four suspects were arrested. The identities of the suspects and what they were charged with was not immediately available.

Police found the 23-year-old man dead in his apartment on Fourth Street around 8 p.m., according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. His identity has not been released.

A neighbor who lived across the street from the scene said he and his wife heard what sounded like three gunshots around 6:45 p.m. while they were walking their dogs. The neighbor also told police he saw three unfamiliar people on the block while he was out walking.

Homicide investigation underway in Mint Hill

Homicide investigation underway in Mint Hill A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead on Pinewood Circle in Mint Hill, according to Mint Hill Police. Police responded to the 7900 block of Pinewood Circle around 6 a.m. on June 23. Police, along with members of the Mint Hill Fire Department, located an unresponsive man. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim's name has not yet been released. Police have not released any information regarding any suspects. In coordinated efforts with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Mint Hill Police say this is being investigated as a homicide.
