Woman to remain jailed in identical twin sister's slaying

Woman to remain jailed in identical twin sister's slaying A New Jersey woman accused of stabbing her identical twin to death during a street fight will remain jailed until her trial on aggravated manslaughter charges. A state judge issued the ruling Thursday. Camden County prosecutors say 27-year-old Amanda Ramirez initially denied stabbing her sister, Anna, at the Centennial Village Apartments in Camden early Saturday. They say she later admitted to the stabbing but said she acted in self-defense after her sister got a knife and came at her. Prosecutors say those claims are contradicted by a woman who saw most of the fight, though she didn't see the stabbing occur.

Child also injured during knife attack on 26-year-old woman at home in east London, which police say was not random.

The family of a good Samaritan whose legs were severed when a compact sport utility vehicle Christopher Alvarado, 36, the owner of the Hartland Township Mexican Fiesta restaurant , remained hospitalized in critical condition Wednesday at the Woman injured in blaze sparked by lightning.

"My son jumped up immediately as soon as he heard the woman screaming, and he ran toward the screaming," said his father, Allan Corson Sr.

Corson tackled the suspect and the good Samaritan was stabbed in the process.

"My son, actually, he didn't even realize he got a knife wound to his back, so he got cut (by) the gentleman with the knives," his father said.

Police swarmed the restaurant after 8 p.m. and were able to arrest the suspect.

The Corson family is from Connecticut and was driving through Worcester when they decided to stop at O'Connor's.

Officials did not provide an update on Corson's condition.

Police have not yet provided information on the stabbing suspect. They have not said what led up to the attack but they believe it was not random.
