14-year-old fatally shot in Federal Way A 14-year-old boy was fatally shot in Federal Way early Tuesday morning, and police are searching for another 14-year-old boy who they say was with the teen at the time of the shooting. Shortly after midnight police responded to the shooting at the Maplewood Apartments in the 32100 block of 46th Place Southwest. The 14-year-old was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound, according to Federal Way police. Police say the circumstances of the shooting are unclear, but it appears it may have resulted from the teen’s mishandling of a firearm. No one else was injured during the shooting.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for two suspects wanted in a shooting in the Roxborough section of the city. Officers say the shooting happened after two men gained access to a home on the 600 block of Walnut Lane at 3:13 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was shot once in the shoulder and chest.

It is unclear if anything was stolen at this time.

The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction but they were caught on surveillance video trying to gain access to several other homes in the area prior to entering the victim’s residence.

Police responded to reports of a shooting at the Tanforan Mall on Tuesday afternoon. When officers arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds, San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini said. Both were treated by paramedics and have been taken to a local hospital, he said. Investigators do not believe the shooting was random. "We believe that we may have 2 separate shooters," Barberini said, adding the shooters may have been firing at each other or at someone else.

One man is described as an African-American man, 20 to 30 years old with a close to shaved head, goatee, stocky build, wearing a hooded jacket, pants and sneakers. Police warn he is armed and dangerous.

The other suspect is described as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, thin build, wearing a hooded jacket, pants, dark-colored sneakers, a possible baseball hat, and was carrying a dark-colored bag with unknown objects.

Asheville police say an officer-involved shooting Tuesday morning has sent one person to a hospital. A tweet on the Asheville police Twitter page said officers were attempting to serve a warrant about 10 a.m. on Oteen Church Road at the time of the shooting. Police said the suspect was taken to Mission Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The name of the suspect was not released. Officers were still at the scene just before noon, according to Jerri Jameson, spokesperson for the city of Asheville. She said the officer did not appear to have any injuries, but because it’s a traumatic event, the officer is being checked out at the hospital.
