Woman’s body found in Aurora home, police investigating as suspicious death Officers with the Aurora Police Department are investigating a suspicious death in the High Point neighborhood. APD said that shortly after 12 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the 19000 block of East Milan Circle on a report of a missing person. When officers arrived, they found a dead woman inside a home. APD’s Major Crimes/Homicide Unit is investigating the death as suspicious. “This active and ongoing investigation is still in the very early stages, so no further information is currently available. There is no threat to the public related to this incident,” APD said in a statement.

SEATTLE, WA — A man was found dead Monday morning near one of the busiest intersection in the University District. Seattle police closed streets in the area to investigate what happened.

Few details were available about the death early Monday morning. Seattle police did not say whether the person died as a result of an accident or was intentionally killed. The 911 call to report the death went out at around 4:30 a.m. to 4534 University Way Northeast, according to the fire department.

Cars were being kept off a stretch of University Way between Northeast 45th and Northeast 47th Street. King County Metro buses were not running along University Way between 45th and Northeast 50th Street.

San Jose police are investigating the death of an 84-year-old man as a homicide, after discovering the victim amid a burglary-in-progress call. Officers responded to a residence at the 3200 block of Montecito at about 9:30 a.m. Friday, where they noticed a vehicle leaving the area. Police attempted to stop the vehicle and then engaged in a brief pursuit before calling it off for safety reasons. The officers were unaware at the time of the victim inside the home, who was near death when they arrived, police said. The man, whose identity is pending next-of-kin notification, was pronounced dead at the scene. There have been no arrests.
