A Gorham man is charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash last September.

According to police, William Blanchard, now 19, was driving the car that crashed through a guardrail outside Bug Light Park in South Portland, killing Patrick Donaghue, 20. Both men were students at Southern Maine Community College.

At the time, police said speed was likely a factor in the crash.

A grand jury handed down indictments Monday, charging Blanchard with manslaughter.
