Police: Man arrested after human remains found during search for missing Kentucky mother Kentucky State Police say a man has been arrested after human remains were found during a search for a Kentucky mother of four who disappeared in January. Trooper Robert Purdy tells news outlets that the remains were found late Wednesday in a residential neighborhood in Garrard County. Twenty-three-year-old Savannah Spurlock was last seen leaving a Lexington bar with several men. Police say a tip reported Wednesday afternoon led authorities to search the property, which belongs to relatives of a potential suspect. News outlets say the property was initially searched during the early stages of the investigation.

Detectives have arrested a man on murder and other charges in connection with a missing person's case that was recently solved.

Although her remains have never been found her mother insisted that a dingo had taken her from her camping tent. In a trial sensationalized by the media her mother was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Jason Callahan made no contact with friends or family after June 1995.

Kentucky State Police have made an arrest after finding human remains at a property in Garrard County, believed to be that of missing Richmond mother Savannah Spurlock.

David Sparks was booked into jail early Thursday morning in Madison County.

He's charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.

Authorities have been searching a home in Garrard County after receiving a tip Wednesday evening.

Troopers say the discovery was made on the property of a potential suspect's family member.

So far, the remains have not been positively identified.

Medical examiners in Frankfort will perform an autopsy today to make that determination.

These latest developments come just days after the 6-month anniversary of Spurlock's disappearance.

Spurlock was the mother of four children.
