KCPD investigating homicide near McDonald’s at 31st and Van Brunt The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a homicide after a person was shot near the McDonald's at 31st Street and Van Brunt Boulevard. That incident happened Monday around 1:30 p.m. Police said the victim was located on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant with no signs of life. Witnesses said a suspect fled the scene in a blue vehicle. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS. This story is developing. Kansas City police are investigating a homicide at East 18th Street and Benton Boulevard. According to police , officers responded to a reported shooting just after 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Benton Boulevard. Police said they found one male victim dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate a homicide at 63rd Street and South Benton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri after a man's body was found.

Police said someone discovered the body of a man on the sidewalk along 63rd Street around 5:45 a.m.

Officers said the man had a wound to his side. They are trying to determine if he was shot or stabbed.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide.

One teen killed, another injured overnight in a drive-by shooting in south Kansas City KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating a deadly drive-by shooting. Police say the shooting happened at 10:51 p.m. Tuesday when two teens were driving in the area of 81st Terrace and Blue Ridge. According to police, the 19-year-old driver said another vehicle pulled up next to them and began firing shots into their vehicle. He then drove to the emergency room entrance of an area hospital for help. The passenger, a 19-year-old male, died at the hospital. The driver has  non life-threatening injuries. There is no suspect information at this time.

Police investigate late-night shooting in Lewiston.
Lewiston police said they are investigating a shooting that happened late Thursday night. Officers responded to 135 ½ Bartlett Street at about 11 p.m. Police said Christopher Williams, 28, of Lewiston, was shot twice in the legs. Williams was taken to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment. Police said his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
