Police investigate late-night shooting in Lewiston

Police investigate late-night shooting in Lewiston Lewiston police said they are investigating a shooting that happened late Thursday night. Officers responded to 135 ½ Bartlett Street at about 11 p.m. Police said Christopher Williams, 28, of Lewiston, was shot twice in the legs. Williams was taken to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment. Police said his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Police said they are trying to determine exactly where the shooting occurred. Lewiston police ask anyone who witnessed the shooting to call them at 207-513-3001. Kansas City police are investigating a homicide at East 18th Street and Benton Boulevard. According to police , officers responded to a reported shooting just after 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Benton Boulevard. Police said they found one male victim dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate a homicide at 63rd Street and South Benton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri after a man's body was found.

Police said someone discovered the body of a man on the sidewalk along 63rd Street around 5:45 a.m.

Officers said the man had a wound to his side. They are trying to determine if he was shot or stabbed.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide.

KCPD: Man found shot to death in vehicle at east side apartment complex A man was found shot to death inside a vehicle early Saturday in the parking lot of an east side apartment complex, Kansas City police said. Police officers were called about 5:30 a.m. to the 3900 block of Topping Avenue on a reported shooting. Authorities said security found the man unresponsive inside the car. Officers said he appeared to have been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they are looking for witnesses. Victims, suspect in triple homicide identified.
Des Moines police have identified the victims and a suspect after three people were found dead Tuesday night. Police were called to a home 1003 Day Street around 11 p.m. to investigate a report of three dead people inside the home. Responding officers later confirmed the deaths. The victims have been identified as 29-year-old Rossibeth Flores-Rodriguez, her 11-year-old daughter Grecia Daniela Alvarado-Flores, and her 5-year-old son Ever Jose Mejia-Flores. All three were residing at 1003 Day St. All three sustained gunshot injuries. Des Moines police detectives arrested 31-year-old Marvin Oswaldo EsquivelLopez in connection with the case.
