Man charged in Cleveland quadruple homicide jailed on $5 million bond CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A man accused of killing four people including his 6-year-old son and the boy’s 2-year-old sister will be held in jail on $5 million bond after his first court appearance on Friday. Armond Johnson Sr., 26, pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated murder. Johnson asked for a preliminary hearing before the case, set for July 25. Cleveland police Lt. Ali Pillow previously said more charges will be presented to the grand jury.

After a 2-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy were among those killed in a quadruple homicide in Cleveland, the father of one of the children was arrested, authorities said Thursday.

The investigation began Tuesday morning when emergency dispatchers received a 911 call reporting the body of a man lying in a field, Cleveland police said.

Police: Two people arrested in connection with Tate Township homicide Detectives from the Clermont County Sheriff's Office have arrested two people in connection with the murder of Jason Hamrick, of Tate Township in Clermont County. Police arrested Angelina Hamrick, 32, for her involvement in the murder of her husband. Hamrick has been charged with one count of aggravated murder, a felony in the first degree. Hamrick was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Clermont County Jail, where she is being held without bond. Additionally, the Sheriff's Office arrested Michael Andrew Clark, 33, of Abilene, Texas for his involvement in this homicide.

David Cousin Jr., 35, was found on the ground shot multiple times, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office

Officers forced entry into a home near where Cousin's body was because they smelled smoke, police said.

A fire had been started in the home, authorities said. There police found the bodies of 25-year-old Takeyra Collins, 6-year-old Armond Johnson Jr. and 2-year-old Aubree Stone, according to the medical examiner's office.

Collins had been shot multiple times, according to the medical examiner's office.

The children died from smoke inhalation, according to the medical examiner's office.

Collins was the children's mother, according to ABC Cleveland affiliate WEWS.

Remains of slain college student recovered

Remains of slain college student recovered Ayoola Ajayi, 31, is accused of killing Mackenzie Lueck, 23.

Armond Johnson, the father of one of the slain children, has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder, authorities said.

"We hope and pray that this person never sees the light of day again," Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said at a news conference on Thursday.

Johnson is the only suspect at this time, the chief said.

Investigators believe David Cousin was a neighbor who happened to stumble upon the suspect when he was leaving the area, police said.

No motive has been released.

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson on Thursday offered his condolences to the victims' families and the community.

"You can see by the outpouring of the community what this means to this community," Jackson said.

Johnson's first court appearance will be Friday, according to police.

Kansas City police investigate homicide at 63rd and Benton.
Police continue to investigate a homicide at 63rd Street and South Benton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri after a man's body was found. Police said someone discovered the body of a man on the sidewalk along 63rd Street around 5:45 a.m. Officers said the man had a wound to his side.
