1 person hospitalized, 1 arrested after McDonald's shooting A man suffered serious injuries after he was shot outside of a McDonald's in Methuen on Friday night, according to police. The shooting happened at around 9:30 p.m. after a fight in the parking lot. The victim, who is in his 20s, was found in Lawrence. He was transported to a Boston area hospital. Police have not yet provided an update on his condition. "It's just extremely alarming to us, as a department, as a city," said Methuen Police Lt. A Bowman Gray racer was arrested on assault charges Saturday night at the track.

Winston-Salem police said 20-year-old Amber Burchette was arrested just after 5 p.m. after she was involved in an argument with a 23-year-old man.

At some point during the altercation, investigators said Burchette assaulted the victim.

The man was not injured.

Burchette was taken into custody and is being held without bail.

Burchette is a Sportsman Division driver at Bowman Gray.
