Coroner: One dead after troopers try to pull over vehicle on I-85 in Greenville Co. One person was killed in a crash that happened after South Carolina State Highway Patrol attempted a traffic stop. Kent Eric Washington, the driver in the incident, faces charges in the crash, according to Greenville County Sheriff spokesman Lt. Ryan Flood. He's currently at Greenville Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Flood said. The trooper began the traffic stop on Interstate 85 northbound near Augusta Road around 9:30 p.m. Monday, Greenville County deputies said. Washington refused to stop, according to the Greenville County coroner. Washington tried to get on the Augusta Road exit, but missed the ramp, the coroner said.

During the traffic stop , troopers seized 90 grams of cocaine and 30 grams of heroin worth approximately ,200.

SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio — A Michigan man faces felony drug charges after being found with $44,590 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop in Sandusky County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers seized 490 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop on July 17.

Troopers stopped the driver of a 2005 Ford Fusion at around 12:14 a.m. that day for a license plate light violation on the Ohio Turnpike. Troopers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed 15 grams of marijuana in addition to the cocaine.

Passenger Andre S. Lee, 23, of Detroit, charged with possession and trafficking in cocaine and was taken to jail. He could face up to 22 years in prison and up to a $40,000 fine.

Cocaine valued at $16,000 seized in Sanford bust, drug agents say.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said agents seized $16,000 worth of cocaine in a bust in Sanford on Thursday. Guydalbert Elie, 40, Huberson Sylne, 40, and JeanSamuel Merlain, 40, all of Massachusetts, were arrested on aggravated drug trafficking charges. MDEA officials said agents worked with Sanford police to investigate the trafficking of cocaine in the area. Investigators said the drugs were being brought from Massachusetts to Maine. Officials said police stopped a car on Main Street at about 10 p.m. A search of the car found 148 grams of cocaine, 13.5 grams of crack cocaine, $3,500 in suspected drug proceeds and other evidence of drug trafficking.
