Franklin police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of Sam's Club.

Officers responded to the store's parking lot and found someone with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital. Their current condition was not released by police.

Officers arrested a 56-year-old Milwaukee resident on suspicion the shooting and said the case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.

Citing an active investigation, police said no other information could be released right now.

A man is in the hospital after being shot in a Winston-Salem CVS parking lot Friday night, according to police. Officers said man was brought in for treatment to North Carolina Baptist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries at about 6:22 p.m. There was an altercation in the parking lot of the CVS Drugstore at 3186 Peters Creek Parkway when the suspect produced a firearm and fired at the man before fleeing the scene, according to investigators. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 336-727-2800.
