Pedestrian killed, driver arrested for suspected drunk driving OCEANA COUNTY, MI – A driver accused of striking and killing a pedestrian in Oceana County has been arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving. Scott Parsons, 43, of Hart was struck and killed around 2:16 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, according to a news release from the office of Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast. The incident occurred on East Madison Road just west of 126th Avenue in Crystal Township. Police report that Parsons was walking along a gravel section of Madison when he was struck by a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country van driven by a 28-year-old Mears woman. It’s alleged that she failed to stop at the intersection, the news release states.

Louisville Metro police are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck.

The crash was reported in the 12500 block of Dixie Highway shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday.

Preliminary investigation revealed a man in his 50s was not in a crosswalk while going across Dixie Highway in low light conditions.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name was not immediately released.

Public Information Officer Alicia Smiley said the driver remained at the scene until police arrived. The driver was cited for not having an operator's license.

The crash remains under investigation.
