D.A. Pennebaker, a director and cinematographer known for his documentaries, including the classic “Don’t Look Back” (1967), “Monterey Pop” (1968) and “The War Room” (1993) and “Elaine Stritch at Liberty” (2002), died Thursday night of natural causes, Variety has confirmed. He was 94. Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate who died after being found unresponsive at the Oklahoma County Jail, according to officials with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.
Daryl Clinton, 56, was booked into the jail on Aug. 6 after he was involved in a one-vehicle car crash in Oklahoma City. Clinton was taken to the hospital before being booked into the jail on a complaint of possession of controlled dangerous drugs with intent to distribute, officials said.

After being booked into the jail, officials said Clinton was placed under medical evaluation. He was found unresponsive around 4 a.m. on Aug. 10 and was taken to a local hospital, where he died that evening.
The Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit is actively investigating the death, according to officials.
