Leonard Olsen was caught driving his Cadillac from his sunroof and he says he'd rather go to jail than back to his wife. Police arrested Leonard after an off-duty deputy recorded video of the man's actions and notified police.

A teenager was seriously hurt earlier this month when the car she was riding in struck a tree.

Deputies with the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office said the girl was one of three teenagers in the car driven by Casey Braley, 27, of Jay.

The crash happened just before midnight Aug. 3 on Ithiel Gordon Road in Mount Vernon.

Deputies said at least one of the teenagers was standing up through the sunroof when the car went off the road and hit a tree.

Braley was charged with aggravated driving to endanger and tampering with a witness.

Deputies said more charges are likely.

The victims and suspected car thief were all taken to a nearby hospital, where the woman succumbed to her injuries and died, deputies said. Officials were unsure of the four surviving victims' and suspect's conditions. No identifying information was released about any of the parties involved

Randleman teen charged after victim says he was cut by machete, chased through woods, deputies say.
RANDLEMAN, N.C. -- A teen is charged with assault with a deadly weapon after a victim said he was cut with a machete and chased through the woods, according to a Randolph County Sheriff's Office news release. Deputies responded to the Torch Drive area of Randleman after they got a call about an assault Sunday. The caller claimed to have been chased through the woods by a person armed with a machete. When deputies arrived, they say they saw a victim covered in blood and sitting in the driveway just a short distance from the woods. Three large wounds were visible.
