Police search for Florida man who wanted gun Police in Port St. Lucie are searching for a man who walked into a Walmart and asked a sales clerk if they could sell him anything "that would kill 200 people." According to police, the man, who is believed to be in his 50s with grayish black hair and a goatee, approached a sales clerk in the sporting goods department at the Walmart located at the 10000 block of South US 1 and asked "Can you sell me anything (or a gun) that would kill 200 people?" The incident happened Wednesday just after 7 p.m. The sales clerk replied, "This isn't funny," and the man replied "I know," and then repeated the question. The man left the store after making the second statement.

Rivers' address is listed in arrest records as 19 North Ann Street, the location of Homeward Bound, a local nonprofit that supports the homeless.

Rivers was in custody at the Buncombe County Jail as of 10 a.m. Aug. 14 and was eligible for a $1,000 secured bond. Rivers is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 10.
