Sheriff's deputies said two people were thrown from the car. One of them died at the scene and the other was flown to Froedtert Hospital, and pronounced dead. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, but said it appears the car hit a guardrail. Neither of the victims were wearing seat belts. The driver was identified as James Allan Debny, 66, of Fox Lake. His passenger was identified as Daniel Joseph Luedke, 55, of Fox Lake. No other details about the crash were immediately available.

Emergency responders swarmed a quiet residential street Saturday afternoon after a plane crashed into a home, CBS2’s Christina Fan reports.

Neighbors say they were startled by a loud sound, then they saw homes go up in flames.

Authorities say a small Cessna aircraft was carrying three people when it crashed in Union Vale. The plane had originally taken off from Orange County Airport but stopped at Sky Acres to refuel.

One person died , one was badly hurt and another remained unaccounted for Saturday after a small plane crashed into a house in Dutchess County , authorities say. One of three men on the plane died ; a man who was in the house is missing and a woman in the house has life-threatening injuries.

Just after taking off, the pilot reported engine trouble.

“I was in my house and I heard boom boom,” witness Rick Plambeck said.

The plane crashed into a two-story home, causing the building to burst into flames.

One man on board the plane was killed. Two others survived the impact.

“It appears that the plane struck the south side of the residence, causing major structural damage, so the exact point of impact will be determined through the NTSB and the FAA,” Daniel Smith, with the New York State Police, said.

Three people were inside the house. Authorities say one person has died while another is still missing.

“There was a woman in the house and she jumped out of the window onto a ladder with her dog, and she told us that there was a man in the house, which was her father,” Plambeck said.

Sunday morning, authorities continued searching for the third person believed to be inside the home when the crash happened.

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.

A 49-year-old Melbourne man died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash, according to the Cocoa Beach Police Department. Bernard Gillebaard was driving his 2018 Suzuki motorcycle south on N. Atlantic Ave shortly before noon when he crashed into the passenger side of a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta, said Sgt. Manny Hernandez. The Jetta’s driver, 70-year-old Connecticut resident Judith Orr was making a left turn from the northbound lanes of N. Atlantic Ave when Gillebaard collided with her vehicle, Hernandez said. Gillebaard later died at a local hospital. Orr sustained injuries that are not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
