DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are searching for a trio of suspects wanted for stealing a motorcycle from the scene of a fatal crash on Detroit's west side late Saturday night.

Police confirmed to WWJ that a 22-year-old man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a light pole in the area of South Fort and Schaefer around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say three men on Harley Davidson Motorcycles pulled up to the scene and loaded the victim's crashed bike and loaded it into the back of a white Ford F-150 and fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

It was unclear whether the suspects witnessed the crash.

Police are still investigating and say all three suspects are still on the loose.
