Deputies charged two men with multiple felonies following a search warrant after a home invasion, vehicle pursuit, crash and pursuit on foot.

After a report of a home invasion where Tyler White drove away, a deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop, but White refused, according to deputies. A vehicle pursuit followed.

Deputies said White's vehicle crashed at the intersection of Shattalon Drive and Murray Road in Winston-Salem. White then ran away.

Charges dismissed for teen charged in crash that kill her friend, records show Charges have been dismissed for a teen who was charged with DUI in connection with a crash that killed her friend, court records show. Records show charges were dismissed for Savannah Hutchinson during a preliminary hearing Wednesday. Dayton Gayle Sellers, 18, of Donalds, was killed in the crash in May. Hutchinson, of Honea Path, was charged with felony DUI involving death at the time of the crash. The crash was reported just before 2:30 a.m. May 7 on Latimer Mill Road near Prospect Church Road, four miles north of Honea Path, according to the coroner. Sky 4 was over the crash and captured video of a vehicle overturned on the side of the road.

There were no injuries to others and the vehicle had been stolen, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies and Winston-Salem police officers used K-9 tracks to track White to 4167 Morningside Drive and executed a search warrant, according to officers.

White, a fugitive from Texas, is charged with two felony counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of burglary tools, motor vehicle larceny, hit-and-run/fail to stop, flee to elude, two counts of injury to personal property, and two counts of resisting, delaying and obstruction, according to police.

White is being held at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center with bond secured at $50,000, according to police. He has no bond allowed pending extradition to Texas. His first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 27.

Officer hurt during east end police pursuit; suspect arrested.
A police chase in the east end has caused injuries to an officer, officials said. It started after a person was robbed at gunpoint Thursday around 9:30 am. near English Station Road, police said. The Louisville Metro Police Department put out a description of the vehicle believed to be involved, and Middletown police found one that matched it.
