A man wanted for murder in another state was arrested in Louisville.

According to an arrest report, it started with the smell of marijuana coming from a vehicle.

Police said Kelton Moore, 34, was the passenger in a vehicle that was omitting a strong odor Tuesday in west Louisville.

Officers searched the vehicle and found a handgun. The Louisville man admitted to police he had it for four weeks and had purchased it on the streets of Louisville, the report said.

It turns out Moore was wanted for a murder in Arkansas, and had two warrants out for him in Kentucky, police said.

Moore was then arrested in the area of 28th and Chestnut streets.
