The search for a Louisville woman reported missing in the Virgin Islands has now been expanded.

The Virgin Islands National Park posted on their Facebook page Wednesday night, asking to volunteers to assist in the search for for 48-year-old Lucy Schuhmann.

They said the search will be expanded to additional hiking trails, roadsides and shorelines.

Schuhmann was reported missing last week by the owner of the vacation rental where she was staying after she didn't check out as scheduled and her belongings were still in her room.

Shortly after, her rental Jeep was discovered at a parking area near the Virgin Islands National Park.
