  Man shot and killed while walking home in Munhall A 27-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Munhall on Monday night. Allegheny County police said police and paramedics responded to a call about shots fired a little after 11:50 p.m. where they found the victim shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victim had taken a Port Authority bus from downtown Pittsburgh to the area of West Street and East 20th Street in Munhall and was walking home along Ridge Way when he was shot near the intersection with Maple Street.No suspects have been named.The motive for the shooting remains unclear.

OXNARD (CBSLA) – One student was killed, and a second student and a parent were injured, after all three were struck by a van while walking to school in Oxnard Monday morning.

According to Oxnard police, at around 7:40 a.m. a parent was walking the two children to Ramona Elementary School when all three were struck by a van in the area of Cooper Road and Anita Avenue.

One student died, the Oxnard School District confirmed to CBS2. The other student and the parent were rushed to Ventura County Medical Center. Their conditions were unknown. No names were released.

The driver of the van remained at the scene, police said. The circumstances of the collision were not immediately known.

Student with handgun taken into custody at Northglenn High School .
Northglenn High School was placed on lockout after a student there was found to be in possession of a handgun, according to a message from Adams 12 Five Star Schools. Administration received a tip at some point on Tuesday that someone in the school might have a weapon. Officers with the Northglenn Police Department responded and located a student in a classroom who did, in fact, have a handgun, the district said. That student was immediately taken into custody and the gun was confiscated.All students and staff are safe.
