17-Year-Old Charged In Columbia Shooting Of Teen, Also Linked To Robbery, Carjacking
A Columbia teen was charged in the shooting of a 16-year-old boy in August as well as a robbery and carjacking in July. © Provided by CBS Local, a division of CBS Radio IncNorman Carter, 17, of Sweet Clover, was arrested after he tried to flee Howard County and community police officers. Police said Carter assaulted officers during the arrest. He was also carrying a loaded handgun at the time.Carter is charged as an adult with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm, and related charges in the Aug. 24 shooting of a 16-year-old boy in the 7400 block of Sweet Clover.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office arrested Lucas Dillion Rosier, 18, for alleged possession of 28.7 grams of fentanyl and paraphernalia charges on Saturday, according to CCSO.
Rosier was the passenger in a car that was pulled over at 4045 County Road 218 and Blanding Boulevard for a broken headlight, police said. He was sitting in the passenger seat when police asked if there were illegal narcotics inside the car.
The driver of the car told police there were drugs inside the car, according to the report. Upon turning over a "green leafy" substance, police used a field test and it tested positive for fentanyl.

Ryan Reavis, of Lake Havasu City, was arrested in connection with rapper Mac Miller's death and is facing multiple charges.Police said they searched the home of 36-year-old Ryan Reavis, of Lake Havasu City, as part of an active case involving Miller's death.
Rosier was transported to the Clay County Jail, according to the report. Additionally, the driver was issued a citation for the broken headlight.
