Police identified the suspect as Cobey Mishler, 18, of Salisbury. Mishler is wanted for murder, police said.

Officials said the victim is identified as Seth Abbey, 18, of Salisbury. Abbey was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by hospital personnel.

Shortly after 10 p.m., the Salisbury Barrack received a 911 call with the report of a stabbing in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Beaglin Park Drive in Salisbury. Troopers and EMS personnel responded and found the victim suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was with his girlfriend at the time of the incident. According to investigators, three Caucasian men were on bicycles and approached the girlfriend. Shortly thereafter, an altercation ensued between the victim and the men. Police do not believe this to be a random act of violence.

Police describe Mishler as 5-feet, 10-inches tall, weighing 110 pounds with brown hair and a medium build.

Greenville teen pleads guilty, heads to prison for gruesome stabbing death of mother .

A Greenville teen accused in the gruesome stabbing death of his mother pleaded guilty Monday to the murder and was sentenced to prison. Miguel Cano was 13 when his mother, Isabel Cristina Zuluaga, 44, was killed on Aug. 31, 2015. Officials said she was stabbed more than 28 times in her home. Charged as an adult, Cano, now 17, pleaded guilty to the murder of Zuluaga. A Judge sentenced him to 23 years in prison.
