CLEVELAND, Ohio — A man shot three people, including two security guards, at a bar in the city’s Goodrich-Kirtland Park neighborhood after a guard refused to let him in the bar because he was carrying a gun, according to police.

Jerome White, 30, is charged with felonious assault and is being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail on $100,000 bond. The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Little Kings Lounge on East 30th Street and Payne Avenue.

It’s the second time in a month that a security guard at the bar was shot.

White, three other men and four women showed up to the bar but were not allowed in because White was carrying a gun, according to police reports.

Aleksey Kuchuk, 32, is charged with aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $25,000. Police are still trying to identify the drug dealer. Kuchuk told Cleveland police that the incident started about noon Friday when a drug dealer he owed $500 picked him up from his Cleveland home. Kuchuk told police he had been doing cocaine for about 24 hours straight, police reports say.The dealer, whose real name Kuchuk said he did not know, drove him to Kuchuk’s mother’s home in Aurora.

The three women tried to push their way into the bar, which allowed several people in the group to enter, according to police.

A 25-year-old man in the group punched the security guard the face, according to police. Another security guard helped push White and the 25-year-old man out of the bar.

The guards shut and locked the door, police reports say. The 25-year-old man tried to push his way back into the bar, but White pulled him out of his way, pulled out his gun and fired five shots.

The bullets ripped through the bar and hit a 40-year-old security guard in the buttocks, a 35-year-old security guard in the thigh and a 26-year-old patron in the foot as he sat on a barstool, according to police reports.

Ohio Investigative Unit officers, who investigate liquor license violations and other violations at bars around the state, saw the shooting and chased after the two men, according to police reports.

  UPS driver shot by armed robber with shotgun in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood, police say CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 55-year-old UPS driver was shot Tuesday afternoon by a robber with a shotgun after the driver gave the man $5, police say. The man continued following the UPS driver after he got the money and demanded more, then shot him in the hand with a shotgun as the driver called 911, police reports say. A 42-year-old Cleveland man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and felonious assault, but formal charges have not yet been filed.The shooting happened about 5 p.m. on Scovill Avenue near East 55th Street. The driver told police the robber approached him outside his truck and asked for cash. The 42-year-old man demanded more.

The 25-year-old man was quickly arrested by an Ohio Investigative Unit officer. He has not been formally charged.

Another officer chased White but lost sight of him. A Cleveland police officer spotted White and chased him. White climbed up onto the roof of a nearby building, where officers arrested him, according to police reports.

Cleveland 19 News At 3 p.m. on Friday, a 17-year-old male was shot in the arm and the abdomen at 11305 Fortune Ave. He was transported to Metro Hospital. His current condition is unknown. Later on Friday at 5 p.m., a 31-year-old male was shot in the leg and also transported to Metro Hospital. This shooting happened on E. 95 St. and Pratt Ave. At 6 p.m., another male was shot in the head and was transported to University Hospital. His current condition is unknown.

The gun police believe White used in the shooting was found on the side of the building, police reports say.

Bar security video recorded the incident and the bar’s owner turned it over to investigators.

A 40-year-old security guard was shot in the leg Sept. 8 after a patron, later identified by police as Albert Flowers, argued with the security guard as the bar closed.

Flowers pulled out a gun and shot the security guard because the guard took the pool balls off the table and told Flowers to leave.
