  Family identifies Thursday's shooting victim on Jacksonville's Pearl Street Family has identified the Jacksonville man killed Thursday in a fight on Pearl Street that resulted in two people shot and three stabbed. Stephen Michael Burt Jr., 24, was one of the ones shot. His mother posted on Facebook that his father was killed a month before he was born and his little brother died at 14. Police haven't released any new information in what happened Thursday. They previously said they were initially alerted to the scene by their ShotSpotter system about 1:30 p.m. and then started getting calls. They found Burt inside a home and also were directed to separate crime scenes on 23rd and Fifth streets where the violence continued.

Early indications are someone is dead in the latest one about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Several hours earlier about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday a man and woman were shot in the 1400 block. The preliminary investigation revealed they were standing outside when a white Ford Taurus approached and fired several rounds in their direction. The man was transported in life-threatening condition and the woman took herself to a hospital with less severe wounds.
